I used this week to understand my camera settings better. My friend and mentor, Sthe Mbelu of Zoomin PSA Production, was very helpful with that. Under his supervision, I took my camera for a test drive at the Durban Botanical Gardens and iHeart Market, which I truly enjoyed.

iHeart Market

Shooting at the iHeart Market was awkward at first, because we weren’t sure where to start and how to approach the vendors. Once we got the swing of it, it became really easy. The traders were warm and welcoming, and there was an abundance of subjects to choose from.

The array of colors was spectacular. It’s just the right place for a starting photographer to practice at. It might also turn out to be a great networking opportunity. If you play your cards right, you’ll find cool brands and individuals to collaborate with, which would be perfect for building your photographic portfolio.

Let’s Go!
