On my second week, I decided to start at the uShaka Marine World Village Walk, shopping centre, and end at the beach front. I got into some trouble with one of the security guards there, because apparently, I was supposed to seek the centre’s permission before shooting.
It is something that I should have anticipated. Fortunately, I did ask most of the stores before shooting them, and that kind of saved me. More importantly, now I know to ask for permission before shooting at a shopping centre, which, sadly, puts a limit on impulsive missions.
On the up side, I met the owner of Du Confidence Designs and she gave me freedom to shoot as much as I wanted at her store. That was very fortunate for me because, in my opinion, that was the coolest store in the centre.
The beach was great as well. The only issue is safety. It feels like, the further you move away from the uShaka complex, the more you need to be careful with your camera. If you want to explore the whole beach front, then I suggest you bring a friend along. Otherwise, if you want to go shooting alone, uShaka Beach is a good place. Plus, there’s the Moyo Pier, which is super cool, and is obviously where I am going to dine very soon.
